Well, it’s been a month and a half since I’ve posted here. I’m really great at this whole ‘blogging regularly’ thing.
Topics of interest:
The Wonderful Shivers has moved from the dark depths of Tumblr over to WordPress. You can check out her blog right HERE. She has all ready gotten comments, and her blog has only been up for two days. She says it’s because she’s been commenting on other people’s blogs. Maybe I should try that. Sounds a bit too much like social interaction, though.
My comics collection is going strong. Too strong. I have a huge stack of comics I haven’t read yet, and more are coming in each week, not to mention all the issues I want to reread. I’ll probably try doing a few more reviews on here. I have way too many to ever catch up, so I’ll probably just start with the new stuff.
My writing has been taking place by hand lately. I have some disposable fountain pens that I’m not afraid to take anywhere and everywhere, so that’s helping. Tales of the Fallen has been moved into a huge file folder and I’m writing each rule set on an individual piece of paper. Easier to look at it split up like that. I still have a lot to file away in the folder before I’m ready to get cooking there. Kind of waiting for the mood to take me, like I often do. Maybe during winter break.
Novel writing is going well…ish. I’ve done a similar thing with that as I did with ToF: I’ve gotten a bunch of index cards and am doing all my world building and brainstorming on those. I have a pretty good sized stack all ready, with lots more still to write. This is for the novel I’ve tentatively named Deus Ex Machina. It’s my epic fantasy novel(s) so it’s pretty huge.
That brings us to NaNoWriMo! For quite a while I didn’t think I was going to participate. I realized, though, that November only comes once a year, and if I don’t try for it this year I’ll regret it until next year. So I’m going to try for it again. Even though I’m going to school five days a week and working the other two, I’m going to try to write 50,000 words in November. I’m not going to get any less busy any time soon, though.
So that’s all the fun things in my life right now. I have to study for a Physical Chemistry mid term on Monday and a Differential Equations test on Tuesday, and I need to finish world building so that I can start writing November 1st.
Until next time.
